I think this whole Alec Baldwin situation is overrated, how many parents can honestly say that they have never offended their child? (not excusable, but it happens), I do think what he said was wrong but really we dont know what goes on behind closed doors. If you stop and read what he said you will read through the lines that he is just fed up of the whole situation, can you imagine being a parent and for 6 consecutive years having to fight for your rights...? I mean you cant really have much of an opinion until you are put in that position. I wish everything does work out for the childs best interest

You're right, it's not our choice to forgive him. He, like every other human being in the world, has issues. Why we are so fascinated (obsessed) by these overpaid entertainers is beyond me. This kind of thing happens everyday, but his situation is so much more important because we watch him on a screen and he gets paid millions for it.
Really, who cares? That's between himself and his daughter. I think it's sad that we watch other people's lives more than we live or own.
Whatever is does, my life will still go on.

Why does he need to seek my forgiveness? When you make a mistake with your child, do you go ask for Alec Baldwin's forgiveness? He is human like the rest of us. His ex wife is whacked in the head. She seems like she is trying to turn their daughter away from her father, and this probably hurts him very much.

It's up to his kid to forgive him. He didn't do anything to ME, so I've nothing to forgive.
If he's got issues with his ex, he needs to deal with them better. We (the public) don't know a lot of what goes on between the two of them or who is at fault. Sounds like they both need to "grow up" though and behave like the mature people they are supposed to be.

The only person who needs to forgive him is his daughter. Its really no one elses business. I dont know why they just dont do the joint custody thing. By the time its all settled in court, she will be of legal age to do what she wants, and her daffy parents will have contributed thousands to lawyers and court fees. Cant figure that one!

She put this out to the media so everyone can feel sorry for her. This should have stayed between the two of them. We as the public really don't give a rat's a** what really goes on in their life. We have more pressing and important issues to take care of. We need to bring our Soldier's home safe.

You know, there is no excuse for a grown man and father to blame another person for his actions. His wife did not make him say the terrible things he said. No adult should talk to any child that way, let alone their own child. Regardless of his situation, as a grown man he is obligated by society to act appropriately. Do I forgive him? I pity him.

How is it our place to forgive him or not?? It's non of our business. It's his daughters decision whether or not to forgive him. I think she should... it's her father. He is frustrated and hurt at the whole situation and we don't necessarily know the WHOLE situation that is going on. We just know what the media is wanting us to know.

You are right...what did he do to us to warrant forgiveness. What he needs to do is to talk openly and honestly to his daughter and try to see if SHE will forgive him or give him a chance to be the best dad he can be.

Who Cares about them?????
There are more important things to think about than some washed up actors life.....
I could care less if he beat his daughter, and wife with the same stick.
He'll get away just like OJ did in 95.
What better way for a crappy actor to try to advance in his career than a little drama.....
