What do you think of Hollywood?

Hollywood in reality seems very different than the illusionary Hollywood seen on TV, movies and fashion/tabloid magazines.

Hollywood, commonly called Tinsel Town, is just that. All publicity, all pomp and glamour. But look at the real place and you see the same thing everywhere else. So, "Hollywood" is not real. It's just a dream that will break you if you go there expecting wonderful things to happen like in the movies.

Well, the hollywood of yesteryear was the best....I'm a fan of the old movies; you know, Jimmy Cagney, James Stewart, Carl Malden, Bette Davis, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood, those actors that could turn a frase and bring in the bucks and the glory of film making. Today, movies are made to appease the studios only....and not the public.

I used to live in hollywood I love it it's so unique! kinda like how people compare the laguna beach in real life to the glammed up version on MTV... I think they glam up hollywood and LA to be more materialistic then it really is... I mean theirs not a paris hilton on every corner when you go there... yea theirs pretty people but I think TV makes it look different

Hollywood is trash like it's always been. It's full of fakes and phonies. Not a real person mentally or physically in that place.

i agree the hollywood i saw when i went there was very dirty! but beverly hills is nice like hollywood in movies.

I think hollwood is like the McDonalds of the film industry: Jillions served, and the product is still crap.
