Men, what is it with the boobs?

this is quite serious. been with my husband since '96

beginning in 1999, he has been constantly "goosing" my nips ever since. i have never liked it (outside the bedroom) and i always am waving his hands way,
and have told him on at least 3 occasions in the last 7 years that it makes me incomfortable and that i dont like it
he says when he "gooses" me he is expressing his love. but the man is 34 freakin years old

I told him about a week ago that i have never liked it. he closed down and said that if he cant goose me any more than he would just not touch me at all, period.

so i said- "This is your reaction when your wife comes to you with a valid concern?"

my question is- what is it about the boobs that has such a powerful effect on men? is it the whole freud thing about men being attached to mothers, and the boob is synonmus with the mother? what the hell?

It is probable more the social influence that creates men's attraction to boobs as you put it. It also may have something to do with his mother unconsciously ?
What bothers me is his childish reaction to you legitimate request that he respect your dislike of his goosing your boobs. I think there are a lot of other ways of showing affection so he must have a fetish about your nipples in particular I think. The source of the fetish is more or less important as far as you are concerned, you simply dislike the gesture and you have that right. I think he should explore his repetitive need for this action.
his pouting attitude is childish , having an open discussing about it might bring better understanding and results for both of you

your husband is trying to get a rise out of you and it worked...ignore him...now he is acting like a 3 yr old throwing a temper tantrum..."if I can't pinch your nips then I won't touch you at all". And from the men who wrote in (first 3) we women should let them pinch em at will...or have our guys go to a strip club? Then I should be able to touch MY MAN anywhere I wish even if it makes him mad or uncomfortable. C'on, answer the question without judging...why do men want to pinch the nips all day long w/ NO bedroom activity when they know it HURTS us...? Don't give sh*t about going to a strip bar either...your not allowed to pinch their nips either! Perhaps if men slipped a $20bill into our bra after the pinch we'd be EXCITED the next time he pinched 'em!

You know, breast fixation really isn't the problem here. As a husband myself, I have to say that it sounds like the two of you need some serious talking. Power games can be really hard on a marriage. Maybe couples counseling can help - don't swallow your concern about something that bothers you this much; marriage is a cooperative effort.

All primates have breasts, but only humans have breast that are large enough to have cleavage.
