I'm not particularly graceful, and this is definitely embarrassing, but I'm a little confused about this so I have to ask. I was going over the baby gate this morning, on the phone and holding a cup of coffee. Well, my foot got stuck, and I fell-having both hands full, and not wanting to mop up a full cup of coffee, I held on for dear life. I landed on my right elbow, and it feels 'funny' (for lack of a better term). I was diagnosed with tendonitis in that elbow a while back. Every time I straighten out my arm, it feels like my muscles are twitching, and I don't really have much strength. What's the best thing to do? Ice and NSAIDs? Should I wear a brace for a few days? I don't think I did anything major, but if I can avoid a trip to the doctor's, I will.
And I only lost about 1/4 of my coffee, lol.

I also just noticed that I have a regular bruise (blue/green) and a bunch of small red dots. Another kind of bruise?

If it doesn't hurt much to bend then avoid wearing a brace, as that will only cause the elbow to stiffen up. Keep your elbow moving but don't ask your right arm to push or pull with great force over the next couple of days to allow your elbow time to heal. Taking an NSAID and icing for 15 mins several times a day for a couple days will also help with the healing process. If it doesn't start to feel better after a couple days then you should see a doctor to determine if there is anything more serious. Hope that helps.

Try stretching all of your body unless it hurts then stops. It will alleviate the twitching. I would put ice and elevate it, if it continues to hurt. Ice and elevation will reduce the swelling and pain. Tylenol 500mg twice a daily. If the pain goes more than three weeks seek immediate medical attention.

Rest it, then exercise it, then rest it again. Tendonitis takes time and if you damage it again, takes longer.
