Wow! This is the easiest question I have answered thus far...
Starting pitching and a bullpen are the reasons the Red Sox are better. But factor in the lack of clutch hitting from A-Rod, the injuries that pile up against an overpaid, overused, old-timer lineup...and multiply it by the pressure of unrealistic fans. That adds up to sweep!

The season is a little over 180 days long. Would you rather play 162 days and work 20 in that time, or work 162 and play the other 20? If you look at the dugouts you'll see what I mean. The Sox actually enjoy what they're doing, but if you look at the Yankees you can tell they don't like each other-in fact you can't tell if they even know each other.

The really funny thing is that even with a 8.5 game lead, it's still not enough!!! My brother is a Red Sox fan and I a Yankee fan, even he KNOWS it may not be enough to last the whole season.

Like most Red Sox fans I enjoy the first part of the season. I just hope that the Red Sox continue playing well after the All Star game this year.

The yankees' pitching staff is nothing at the moment, while the Red Socks have all of their superstars healthy in the pitching department. That's the main reason why the Yankees are sucking at the moment.

the secret to baseball is to stay close and never give up. The red sox do this instead of relying on one or two stars to make big plays like the Yankees.

This year's yankees don't have Babe Ruth, or Mickey Mantle, or Thurman Munson, or Yogi Berra, or any of the legends from that team. This years yankees are not winning.

Right now they are better because they've won more games. LOL . . .But I think it doesn't really matter just yes. Yes, it "matters" and every game is important, but let's see how things look mid season, or late season. Hopefully they still have that lead!

They may have a big lead now but they will bomb just like they have every other year. I'm a Yankee fan and I am fully aware that they may not win every year but look at their record and look at boston's and then you can talk. Let's go YANKS!!!!!
