I was incarserated in the Michigan prison system from 1995 until 1999 and in that time I was on what they call a woods crew.
We go out in the Forest of the Upper Paninsula and cut down trees.
The guards are armed and the work is hard.
I got paid .75 a day for this work, and that is the highest paid prison job there is.
No Chains - but might as well of had them.
Glad to be home - but I am now making less money than I was while in prison. How sad is that?????
Maybe I will ask Governer Granholm for a job , she seems to think there is plenty of it in Michigan... LOL

Once, and I hated the boss with no eyes who was really mean. I did 3 years but got time off for the excellent way I handled a pickaxe and shovel.
