************************
If you have a FAX modem, you must first install it.
Go to Start
Settings
Control Panel
Add/Remove
Add
Components -- not programs
Scroll down until you see FAX
select it
Now you have to configure it by giving it the information you want to appear on the FAX form.
Using it is easy.
-Create a document - Word, Excel, .....
-File, Print, click the down arrow next to printer and select FAX
A word of caution. This is what happens to me - If for some reason the FAX fails, I must go to the FAX outbox and delete it. (This will not delete your document.)
If I don't delete it from the outbox, the next time I power on, the system tries to send it before everything is loaded and my computer freezes. I knew about where the FAX icon was on the desktop, so when I powered-on, I had to quickly open the FAX console to delete the unsuccessful FAX so Windows could load.

Scan fax into image and send. You do need a scanner to dititizer your fax. Check eFax to see if their service is fit you, http://www.totoware.com/resources.html for eFax description.
eFax usually receives fax and digitize the FAX into an email attachment
