plus shes overly intelligent and in the know with the time travel so life bores her...

Luckily, there is only one film like that, and that is Donnie Darko. I don't think I could stomach another subpar film like it. I really thought it was an amibitious idea without the proper knowledge, skill and talent to pull it off. And come on, when have you ever seen teens dancing and laughing to Love Will Tear Us Apart like it was some American Idol pop song? When I think of mind-bending Sci-Fi films, I think of 2001: A Space Odyessey, or Tarkovsky's Stalker and Solaris. I guess, what I have to say is, I have no recommendations...except maybe The Fountain. Yes, for you, The Fountain.
