Ok, so...I saw some pictures of myself that I don't like. I don't like pictures in general of myself and try to avoid looking at them. But, they snuck up on me and I had to face the fact that I don't like how I look. While I attempt to "fix" me...how do I keep an upbeat attitude? I've been trying to eat better, move around more in the last month, and it just isn't doing much, so I'm pretty discouraged. Right now, I would rather just crawl into a hole and hibernate until things looked better.

even if u do little things every day to improve yourself, that`s a good start...think about it: u can just stay down in the dumps & nothing will change, or u can try to take small steps & make a gradual improvement...either way, the time will pass, & u can either use the time constructively to better yourself, or u can hide away & remain unhappy...there are things u can do each day to make yourself feel better...take a walk around the block...try to eat a little better every day...wear flattering clothes that u feel good in...pamper yourself by doing your nails...keep your hair looking nice...each small thing u do will help u feel better, & in turn u will look better, because u will gain confidence with yourself!!!

well you named all those things you are doing to improve your body/body image. that alone should make give you a boost in your mood. you have set a goal, to look good, be in better shape and feel better. as long as people set goals and work towards them, you give yourself meaning and purpose. and you can do it. just stick with it and you will see results. i was big too, and i'm 43 which made it tough to get in shape, plus 2 kids by c-section. i thought about surgery but didn't do it, and just kept working out and eating a little less and styaing away from sugar. and you know that movie shrek when they drank the magic potion? i'm like that donkey,........NOW I'M SEXEY! seriously! i turn a lot of heads when i want to and put on jeans or shorts. it's fun! lol. you can do it girl. i hope this helps your blahs! luv ya

Keep working on self-improvement....and avoid looking at those PICTURES.

Change can sometimes occur very slowly but hang in there and you will reap the rewards.

If you feel low and every now and then, feel free to send me an email. I will try to inject some upbeatness into your life..

Hang in there and keep moving!

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh
welcome to the joys of being a woman!!!

we all get like this, and what do i do when it happens? i indulge myself completely. One day, just for me. i plan ahead, and get in lots of yummy things, strawberries, melon, grapes, cocolate, whatever i fancy, i pamper myself from head to toe-usually in my jammies all day, watch a couple of old films and just generally wallow in me-ness The next day, i feel ready to face the world and tackle everything head on again with renewed gusto!!! the diet, the exercise, the image the whole lot, good luck to you

Paint your nails and get a cute different hair cut...it'll give you a boost. Take a walk and really sweat...you'll feel refreshed.
