Basically the internet has everything in it, and is accessible everywhere. Kids can be exposed to:

- Pornographic material
- Violent videos, uncensored
- Profanity is everywhere
- Silly people making silly videos...and somehow inspire the kids to try the same because "it looks cool"
- Chat rooms can be very explicit
- Online Gambling
- Copy and pasting information for a school project (plagiarism)
- Getting on Yahoo Answers and asking others to answer homework questions for them. ;)

The list can go on and on...but don't get me wrong..the internet is also the most useful tool for information for anyone and everyone. If you can't find what you are looking for...you can always find someone on the net willing to help you out.

There are good things and bad things about the internet with youth I would know I am 16. The bad things first porn, finactic terrorist websites, child predators, and there friends who can be good or bad on myspace. The good they can do there home work on it they they can find whats on the news or find out about health issues plus they get entertained and join sites like this one look at me. Now how to fix the bad check where they have been by going into there history you may end up saving there life and there values. then go into tools on the internet explorer and internet options and content there you should find some sort of site filter depending on your version of windows.

The internet is like anything else. It does not come to you, you go to it. You will not be bothered with anything objectionable if you don't ask for it. Let's put some responsibility where it belongs - on the person surfing the net.

i dont think it does

on this site i have learned loads of cool stuff and how to accept other peoples opinion (you cant argue online)

the internet and computers teach "the youth" cool life skills like typing and other stuff. i do agree that we maybe spend to much time on the internet but its fun and if we go out (like our parents used to) there are all types of weirdos i know you get them on the net to but atleast you can avoid them

It may be too much of an occupier of time (as it tends to be for me, and I'm no longer a child...) Time (life) is all too brief.
