Because Yahoo is a little behind in updating their category list. Until the last two or three years, Kia was an inferior brand that few took seriously.
The company was in trouble when it was acquired by Hyundai in 1998. Since then, with a focus on quality, the brand has gained respect and is doing much better.
Consumer Reports magazine ranks Kia in the middle of the pack in categories where Kia has vehicles. Long-term reliability is still a question mark, however.

Kia is not a real car....
Think about it for a minute before you get all mad at me for calling your car junk..
You bought a car with a 10 year 100k mile warrantee - thats great.
But did you realize that the car is made in Korea???
Support the war buy a KIA.
I have a friend that has 1 too, (I refuse to ride in it). He looked up the bluebook value with 53k very depressing, and at 100k its not worth a piece of dry toast at dennt's.
