It should be covered but if your insurance has it listed as a disability they may not and they will make you file disability. I'm in New York worked for UPS out of one of their New Jersey centers and when I was hit by a car at a customer site I learned the hard way workers comp has different rules they go by based on State, type of injury and other factors. New York would have allowed me to see any qualified neurosurgeon, but New Jersey law allowed the insurance company to send me to who they wanted. Seems every one of their selections was more than 40 miles from where I lived, They made it as inconvenient as possible. They did pay for the visits to their doctors and my lost wages but with the plan we had I had to use 3 sick or vacation days before workers comp kicked in. If your job and workers comp insurance people start giving you a hard time and the run around get a lawyer. I'm on disability now and it's a slow death. I'd rather be working with pain than sitting at home.

I was wondering this too, and they have also given a me crick in the neck, when you see the steward, ask about this too.
