I have this weird video card in a computer I bought from a friend. Comp is just a Dell Precision 600 (Xeon). I pulled the card and it's an ATI Radeon but I can't find a model number or anything about it on ATIs website. Dell's website is no help.

Anyway, the plud is weird. It looks like a DVI (similar pin setup), but it's a bit longer and narrower so the DVI dongle I bought won't fit. It's EDD (Enhanced Dual Display), but I can't find much about that anywhere. Someone told me EDD isn't a plug type and they swear it's some kind of DVI. Personally, I was thinking it's some weird crap that Dell got a deal on and threw in their boxes for a while. Does anyone know what this could be?

Also, my monitor has a regular plug so I can't hook it up to the computer to check the hardware profile.

Hey folks I can't plug my monitor into it, so downloading that program, looking at the control panel, etc. none of that will work.

Download and install the Belarc Advisor. It isn't a big program, but it is free and will tell you everything that's on and in your computer, including programs and other software.

I actually had the same video card in my computer. For some reason it wouldn't work in mine, but I put it in my daughters and it works fine for her.

Best bet, is to buy a new one.

The very first text you see when you boot your PC should describe your graphics card with Model number.

Re-post with that info, and maybe we can help.

Server hardware is a "PITA".
