Why should our lawmakers argue over our immagration laws when it is already illegal to cross our borders with out going through the proper channels enforce the laws we have and quit wasting tax payers dollars

Because laws and facts are not the same thing. One solution is to enforce the law, but that does not solve the root cause of the problem: That we have an economy that depends on this labor pool.

Add to that that we are generous and compassionate in this country, and do not rip apart lives to enforce laws after the fact.

We can and should fix the problem of 'illegal' immigration by permitting enough immigration to serve our economy and making the people who are here illegally, but are contributing to the economy, legal.
