If you really want to discover the progressive rock, i think you better start looking for veteran prog-rock legends, such as Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Rush, King Crimson, etc. From there you can go to listen to next generation prog-rock like Dream Theatre, etc.

Try listening to "Morow" on Apple iTunes internet radio - its under "Rock" - I'm checking it out right now - its pretty intense. I'm mostly a blues-rocker, but I still LOVE ROCK!!! I just bought my first 100 watt Marshall head - SWEET! :) The Apple iTunes program is a free download and can work on PC or Mac - just be sure to select the one that is right for your computer (if you don't already have it). Other than that, King Crimson, Yes, Rush and lots more.
