The most fascist, un-American thing I see on the landscape is the accusations by Conservatives that anti-war people are traitors. HOW IN THE F*CK CAN YOU CALL US A FREE DEMOCRACY IF EXERCISING YOUR FREE SPEECH EQUATES TO BEING A TRAITOR? I personally think that many of the anti-war people are a little extreme, but so are the pro-war people. It is not traitorous to want to stop a war, it is not traitorous call a president an idiot, and it is not traitorous to say that the govenment is screwing up. The Constitution anticipated that presidents will be idiots and has impeachment for just such cases. How do you think that you can impeach a president if you aren't allowed to publicly disagree with him?
Do you really think you can trust Bush that much? Good God, the freedoms he's violating are ultimately just as important to the rabid conservative as they are to the rabid liberal. It's incredibly short-sighted and self-serving of the Cons to go along with a restriction of our freedoms just because it supports their cause TODAY.

Yes it's gut wrenching for our military.I have never said our military has failed.THEY have not failed.They have done there job and done it well.Our GOVERNMENT has failed our troops.From placing them in this situatiion to not taking care of them on their return.Our GOVERNMENT is the one who failed to have a plan for Iraq that was viable for the Iraqi whose country it is.Our entire country is to blame for this mess.We have placed our military in a situation that IS gut wrenching.Why do you think so many have problems upon return?It's the radicals on both sides of the fence.The ones who say stay the course and the ones who say our military has failed.Our miltary have done their job they can't do anymore and this is what they need to know.They served with dignity and they WON their battle.Now what happens in Iraq is up to the Iraqi.Don't you think they will really feel like losers if we leave them in for another 5 or 6 years fighting a civil war they have no control over and THEN bring them home?THEY have shed blood THEY have watched their friends and brothers die.I know first hand how military feels about the garbage going on.I have 2 sons have, and are serving there.I see how torn they are.I see how this war has affected them.I see how they are getting the impression they have failed when there is no way to WIN this current civil war.They ARE winners.Time to come home to victory rather than wait for more to die and feel they've come home to defeat.
