It's up to you.
I changed back to my maiden name, and I had a child under my married name. I figured I could explain it to her if I ever needed to.
If you change back, you'll have to make sure when you cite your degrees, on a job application or resume, that you indicate the name they are under. I had to do the same thing with my work history. In case, they check back to see if they're valid.
I never learned to answer to my married name. I was always looking around for his mother. (*shrug*) I really wanted my name back, so it was worth all the hassle to me.

Well since you are young and don't have kids, you should probably change your last name back to build your own identity again. Maybe call your college and see if they can change it with the proper paperwork on your degrees...Once you get everything changed over, over time it will almost seem like you never changed it at all.

Change it if you wish. You may even be able to contact the college & get replacment degrees with your new name to display if you want. But it's really no problem, anytime you apply for a job or something & you're asked for degree informaiton, it also ask you to list the name the degree is under. Shouldn't cause you any problems at all.

If you do not have children, I would change back to my maiden name. Once you have your order of divorce and the legal documents stating the name change, contact the schools and inform them of the change. Many women have degrees in their maiden name and then get married...you should not have any problem with your degrees.

Change your name back. It would be different if you had kids.
The degrees don't matter - once married, their records are all under both names, cross-referenced, so not to worry.

Since you don't have kids i would change it back. And if it hurts to think about you ex everytime you write your name and you want to forget about him then you definitely should change it.
