I keep getting error message when i come to the end in trying to get the c518- printer, scanner and copier installed.... the msg number is hpqtra08.exe.. and also says no hp device have been detected....?????? i called the support unit and they seemed like they could not help me either...one service repr told me that i had to have a window icon in my local c disc drive... which is not there.... can you please assist me in anyway...,thank you .,.mjblanchard.....

There could be an issue with the installation disk. Also is the printer turned on and pluged into the computer when you are installing it? You can also try downloading the drivers from the HP web site. What OS are you using? If you are using Vista it might not be compatible with it.

"hpqtra08.exe" is not an error message, it's an executable file, a program.
If the printer was connected via USB and powered up, when you tried to install it, delete all installation files, turn off your printer and re-install.
