LEAVE HER ALONE FOR 24 HOURS - WHAT A GREAT GIFT THAT WOULD BE

The traditional gifts never go out of style. A beautiful bouquet of flowers or a lovely potted plant will make many a woman thrilled on Mother’s Day. In many areas, lilies bloom near Mother’s Day, and can be a lovely remainder to her every year of your devotion. Jewelry is always a wonderful idea; for the new mother or grandmother, try a bracelet or necklace with charms with the baby’s birthstone for a gift she’ll treasure for years.

You know your mother better than any of us. A unique gift would be something both of you have a strong emotion toward, that makes her feel special. If you think about shared memories with her and find a special moment, you will be able to find a gift that suits your need. Good luck!

I think the best gift we ever gave my Mom was a gift certificate to a Professional Portrait Studio (covered the sitting fee) with an appointment date and a "signed contract" from all of us kids, husbands and grandchildren to be there all on time, looking our best! She loved it...and has an entire wall full of pictures from that day. I can only hope that one of my kids will think to do the same thing when they are married with children! Good Luck!

Yes . . . write her a letter...buy her a card yet in that open blank section to the side, write your own personal thoughts and memories of what you and your mother are to each other. . . . Take her out and verbally express to her your sincere from the heart emotions.

Not to simply express..." You're a great mom...Thank you for all you've done " . . . but to go deeper and express your appreciation of the love the two share as mother and child.

Maybe pack a picnic lunch...go for a walk...and at one point stop at some scenic place and express to your mom . . . " This is my mothers day gift to you...this scenic view for you to take in and also to hear my words of appreciation of how I value you as my mother.

How 'bout finding a nice looking gift box...keep it empty...wrap it up and place a ribbon / bow round it...and present that to your mother. When she opens it and finds it " empty "...you can express..." It's not empty...my love and appreciation for you as my mother can't be contained in a box and I want you come sit down and while I share all the memories I have of you and let you know how I value you as my mother.

Not all " gifts " can be bought in a store, held in a hand, to have to place on a shelf or on a chain of a necklace . . . some of my most precious gifts received have been of hearing expressions of the heart...a hug to my soul...

I had nothing literally to hold in my hand when I received ' gifts ' as those . . . yet the memories of those moments are forever in my memory and heart.

Give her some flowers...or...a box either empty or with one single wild flower in there. . . yet the real " gift " is your SINCERE words to her...a gift to her heart. When others might later ask her " What did you recieve for mothers day...let me see ". Your mother will have no tangible item to show them...yet she will Know what the gift was...and a precious gift as that is shown as a warm smile to her face and heart...always with her...not left to tuck away on some shelf or drawer.

And . . . when any special ' holidays ' or birthdays come and go...be mindful to celebrate a person all year long...not just on that one day.

Get creative. . . you'll know how to personalize this to reflect you.

Peace to your heart.
.

go to hallmark, the flowershop,or spencers gift store.
Or just do something unique/different. Take your mother out for a day at the spa. Take a road trip and make a certificate/brocure stating the places you will be staying... make it humerous, stay at a hotel that no one would expect to stay at or something. Take her out for cofee. do a makeover and take her shopping to update her wordrobe. You can do lots of creative things.
If you dont have that much money. Send her something in the mail .. not ordinary flowers, send her something like a dozen hershy bars and a dinner certificate, something crazy and different.

Name a star after her!!! Go to www.starregistry.com it's cheap and definately unique. You get alot of different things when you do including a map of the stars so you can find the one you named!

Sheba, the hot air balloon ride is a kick @$$ idea!!! I might have to steal your idea! I've already named a star for her!

We bought my mom a weeping cherry tree one year and it's still blossoming to this day. That was 10 years ago! It's the gift that keeps on giving. I also bought her a dwarf lilac bush a couple of years ago.

I saw a really neat necklace.....it is in the shape of a circle like the stars started wearing a year or two ago, except that it says MOM in capital letters all the way around the circle which makes a really neat pattern. Can't remember where I saw it though....it was in a sale paper that was delivered to my house.
