and putting the top back on the toothpaste when she knows Im going to be using it....
any suggestions on how to handle these issues?

Be thankful you have a sweet wife. I do the same thing. The toilet seat should down and the lid should be on the toothpaste. You are a grown man and are quite capable of lifting a lid and opening toothpaste.

Kind of silly issues, but when I use the toilet, I close the lid when I am done. Most women complain we leave the seat up. As far as the toothpaste, unless you are standing there waiting to use it, I do not see an issue. Relax!

My husband and I used to battle this out all the time. He would argue that all his life people were telling him to put the toilet seat up when he used the bathroom,and now I was asking him to put it down. In the end I realized I was fighting a losing battle. I figured if he had to raise the seat everytime he used the bathroom, I could lower it everytime I did. Some things just aren't worth bickering about. Lord knows we all have more important issues to deal with.

Choose your battles my friend. An open line of communication is always the best course. If the issues supercede the value of the relationship, then you have a more serious problem. By no means should you resort to "an eye for an eye" and start putting things back that you know SHE is going to use. That only aggrivates the situation and reduces you to a 9 year old.

heaven for friggen bid she should put the toilet seat down and close the toothpaste!!!! ...um maybe you could handle these problems by growing up and acting more mature about those things

well the thing is she is trying to show respect. like men should show to women when they use the toliet you should let the seat back down and then recap the toothpaste. you dont want to sit down and touch cold water in the toliet, and you dont want anything to get on the toothpaste do you.

if you have hands you can pick the toilet seat up when it is your turn ,and un screwing a cap off a tube off toothpaste doesnt take to much effort .
