The Opera Show had a memory expert on one day. She said that the best and easiest way to remember something is to make a weird story around the thing you are trying to remember which is pretty creative when you think about it.
for instance where are the car keys? When you put the car keys down on the television, imagine the TV antenna poking you in the eye (that's what she said). She indicated the more creative and out of the norm the link was to the thing you wanted to remember the easier it would be.

I believe they are although it would have been nice to have more specifics in the question. In my writing, I find that everything I have said or done blends somehow in my imagination to create my characters. Some of them like dogs and my dogs' personalities show up occasionally in the pets of my characters. Some of my characters sell wine and I sell wine part time. You get the idea. Memory and imagination feed creativity.

True. I have always had creative ways of remembering things. When I grew up, I found that there are others who do the same and that there is even a name for methods I've used since I was a child: mnemonic devices.

I personally believe that more creative people live in their imaginations and tend to be very forgetful with many things concerning real life.
