The cricket world cup ends Saturday. Australia are very confident with an excellent unbeaten record so far in the world cup, on the other hand Sri Lanka had a very impressive tour , they have been playing exceptionally well. Who do you think will win?And what are your reasons?

Everybody says Australia is the favourite and a part of me also says this is true. But Sri Lanka capable of upsets and could be Australia could well end up the way they lost to England in the tri-series and to New Zealand in the Chappell-Hadlee cup. A good game is on the cards. Again whoever wins, Cricket will be the ultimate winner.

I wish that Sri Lanka will win but in reality I think that Australia will win the World Cup because Australia have played better cricket throughout the tournament so far and they have a stronger team.

Though both are very good and strong team, Australia have been found to be more consistent and have never lost a world cup match since 1999 finals. Their batsmen and bowlers are in very good form. Though Sri Lanka are also very strong team, their success is purely dependent on the performance of only few individuals and they are no0t as consistent as Australia. Hence I strongly feel that Australia will win the world cup..

Australia will win.
There is always that chance that Sri Lanka will win - having come this far. But on paper, Australia is very strong. Look at what they did to South Africa in the semi. I really thought SA will push the Aussies but NO~~~ SA got smashed! IF the Aussies can do that to SA, they will come out blasting against Sri Lanka.
Of course I go for the Aussies but - even trying to be neutral, Australia is just too good in all department.

my dear frnd u have asked a difficult question as we all know the magic spell of aussies they can turn any game around they know how to play in pressure situtaions they have a very good and responsible captain and as well as very classic players whereas sri lanka is also a very strong contender their captain is in fine touch they have got great batting and bowling line up. in my opinion result does not matter very much but the teams should perform well to maintain momentum srilanka can repeat the history of 1996 and australia can win the cup 3 consecutive times so there is a balance between both the teams and anyone can win the world cup more more information contact http://cricinfo.com

Australia will lift the World Cup. They are a very professional unit and the players raise to the ocassion and play to win. Sri Lanka will give a good fight, bu the Aussies will get the better of them as they are overall a well balanced side.
