Correct--but it's not all Republicans--or even the majority. What you are seeing over the last few years is exactly the same thing you saw in the McCarthy era-it is one of the times the right-wing has gained control of the GOP. And, as in the past, they've discredited themselves.

Having lived in the days of McCarthy and his attack up individuals and the constitution was one of dark days of American History.
Today we have administration that ignores the will of the public instituted the Patriot Act to limit criticism and decent in our government. Using the tactics of fear as was done in the 50's.

good call but if you watch the movie REDS ( libs like movies) or read a history book, you will see the Communist movement in America Crumbled as a result. Yep quite a few innocents went to jail as well but got out PDQ. It has the Ring of Boogie man to the Libs but hey it got the Job Done. I fear you may not understand that the Commies wanted to control you the Islamic Fundamentalists want you dead....

LOL, that's funny, I only wish McCarthy had succeeded in cleaning the commies out of our country, then we wouldn't be suffering the attacks on our constitution, the epidemic decay of morality, taxation without representation, division of the country, total corruption within the government, the invasion of illegal aliens, frivolous law suits, a massively swelling government, establishing a police state enforcement system, giving criminals more rights than their victims, restricting soldiers and law enforcement officers from performing their duties, bankrupting the country via social/welfare programs, eradicating the middle class, placing innocent citizens in harms way via unconstitutional gun laws, and forcing politically correct stupidity upon law abiding citizens...

Has it ever occurred to you that if the world hadn't woken up to the world threat of Hitler, only aryans might be here now?
Modern Liberals would have bailed on WWII many times. Read about the battles. It looked like we were losing right before every win.
