i think it's great!for me it gave me my life back where it should be!plus it let me find the love of my life!there are wonderful people who have become good friends!i think many people have been helped on here!
but the only flaw is that reporters are free to abuse the report button!also people who hate and are nasty should be somehow stopped!also just because sby doesn't have the same opinion as you should not be a reason to be reported or have a thumbs-down!i say replace the button with an ignore button or at least let sby be of a level 3 to be able to report!

First of all, I both love Yahoo! Answers and Yahoo! 360 though they are two different things. What i love about Y! Answers is that you get to help people across the world on the things that trouble them or they are simply curious about. Most of all, you get to share your knowledge to others which for me is a big deal. I really don't use my Y! 360 account that much but I must say that it's helpful coz it helps me stay connected to the people I truly cherish the most like my family and friends..And it helps me to improve my creativity and use my complex ideas.. For the most part I like it, and find it entertaining. Some days though, it is a bit annoying and frustrating when there are a lot of moronic people being hateful, and posting stupid answers.
And I have to agree with Conan... the reporting system leaves a lot to be desired. The customer care folks really need to look into the question/ answer being reported before sending violation notices. Many of them are for stupid, trivial things.

For the most part, I think that yahoo answers are fantastic. I have learned a great deal about many subjects from intelligent individuals giving intelligent answers. The ones I try to avoid are the gf bf: " Does he/she love me" etc type of questions, or those that require that you be a mind reader to answer. The rest are fun.

Yahoo! Answers….its a great place to be specially if you have a question, exchange the knowledge with others… but I think yahoo should show more details, good as well as bad, about those who answers, to give more idea about what kind of a person(s) answering my questions or others questions , like...how many times that person answers a question (is he/she answers others left and right?), how many he/she voted for others?…how many thumbs up/down received for their answers?, how many times got best answers? How times that user was reported for abuse? And so on..

i totally agree with what u say.Although yahoo answer may not be perfect in some sense such as as reporting of abused people which may or may nor be subjective or not.But i think its a great avenue to help people and make friends .i ahve along the process.I pray yahoo will not shut it down so shhhhhhhhhhhh no more compains otherwise the staff there will be angry

For the Most Part, it's not bad. It's definitely something to do to consume time. Yes, it has its quirks, but what doesn't?? Most of the people are nice. I agree.
