Is there an OFFLINE XHTML validator that I could download an install on my computer?...

I know there's a good W3C validator but I want to have something installed on my comp for the time I'm not online...

Thanks in advance!

Here are multiple ways to validate the XHTML offline. You can choose any one of them.

1. Try the web developer toolbar in Firefox. I've come to rely on that pretty heavily. It's just like having a local validator.

2. http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/2411.html
You can download the PHP class from the above link to validate your XHTML offline.

This class can validate XHTML documents. It may also validate other types of XML documents.
It can validate a XHTML document first determining whether it is well-formed and then verifying whether it uses only valid tags and attributes. The list of tags and attributes accepted as valid is configurable.
If there is an error, it can provide detailed information about what ist wrong.

3. You can also download a free 30 days trial XHTML validater from the following location.
http://arealvalidator.com/

4. You can also validate your document in dreamweaver 8. You can view this icon titled with "Validate markup" at codding toolbar.

Hope it will be helpfull.

because of fact it incredibly is used to delimit a particular character. in case you want to validate an e.g., URL that's blah=something&this=that use blah=something& a m p ; this=that (with out the areas in & a m p ; - yahoo editor ****** it up.) EDIT: argh, sorry, in simple terms reread your subject. ignored the script area. Will bypass away my answer right here for posterity because it may be useful, yet in any different case suggestion under is nice.

habilis.net/validator-sac/

go there. that is a very easy to use validator that is the same as W3C's online validation service.

w3 themselves offers a validating editor! Go to www.w3.org and fetch a copy of amaya browser. It validates your code by displaying it in a browser window, and even, if you wish, lets you edit the code. (Personally I don't care for it as an editor, but you might like it...)
