i have a 94 dr250 4 stroke, how can i get more power, it seems to lag for a long time when it first starts, i pull the choke and start the bike and it takes forever to warm up, if i let it idle for like 10 min then hit my throttle, it bogs, but after i ride it for a while it's fine. i just need some advice/tips on what i can do to get some more power, and faster warm up.

Once it starts, rev it up and down for about 15-30 sec. Then start riding with the choke on. Turn off the choke when it will run without it. All bikes take a minute or two to warm up.

The 250 4Ts compete with 2T 125s. The 2Ts 250s compete with 450 4Ts. So as a fact, the 250cc 2-strokes are faster.

get your carb re-jetted, that should fix the problem, sounds like you're not getting a proper fuel-air mixture, could be as simple as your lead screw.
