Legs straight. Beginners tend to flex their knees.
Hold up your head. Straight neck. Look straight ahead (no. not to the floor!)
Shoulders back. When you do that, your breasts will naturally project forward. If in doubt, look at a typical guy, and that's what you SHOULDN'T do: guys always lower their shoulders and lean over.
Extend your right leg and swing it towards the center, as if you were following an invisible line right ahead of you. Land with your heel, not your toes. Heel first, toes after.
Now the left leg, again swing and place your foot right ahead of the other one, straight ahead of you. Look at any picture of a model walking: her legs will be aligned one in front of the other.
And remember, heel-toe, heel-toe. With all due respect, the lady who said "you land on your toes" explained it really bad. Your feet land on your heels first. The only case when you wear heels and step on your toes is when you are running (not recomended for weddings unless you are the runaway bride)

Yes. Pretend that you are suspended from the sky with braces that hold you under your arm pits. This helps you to be light on your feet. Focus your weight more on the balls of your feet and your toes, not your heels. LAND on that part. Its kind of hard to explain, but once you do it, you'll see what I mean. And yeah, practice builds confidence.
