King George VI reigned before Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Charles will be the next King either when the Queen abdicates, or she dies. It would appear that some people do not know the meaning of predecessor!

The Queen's predecessor was her father, George VI. She is the predecessor of her son. He will succeed unless the Queen outlives him, in which case Prince William will be King.

Her father, King George VI (born HRH Albert Frederick Arthur George;) Born 14 December 1895 – Died 6 February 1952. During his life he held the titles:

and, occasionally, outside of the United Kingdom, and with regard to India (until the King ceased to use the imperial title upon India's independence)
1936–1947: His Imperial Majesty The King–Emperor

Isle of Man:
1936–1952: Lord of Mann

Islands of Guernsey & Jersey:
1936–1952: Duke of Normandy

He was the last Emperor of India.

He became King upon the abdication of his brother, Edward VIII to marry a twice divorced American woman by the name of Wallis Simpson.

Edward VIII was the Prince of Wales and inherited from their father, King George V.

Her father, known as King George was her predecessor. He ascended to the throne when his brother suddenly abdicated to marry an American divorcee'. She never expected to inherit the throne as a child - her elder uncle was the heir apparent. But he gave it up for love. Now, she would have to abdicate in favor of Charles, but since he's got two boys there is still little chance that the ascension will go from his family.

" I dont think Camilla will be Queen when Prince Charles becomes King because she is the 2nd wife "

Twaddle! Henry VIII had six wives and they were all Queens. When the Queen dies, Charles will be King, it's as simple as that. When he is crowned, Camilla will be crowned Queen. She has to be - the UK does not recognise morganatic marriages. The only organisation that can change the succession is Parliament and I doubt they will attempt to do it.
