Its not so much what Murali must do pal. It's what the batsmen leave him to work with. Assuming SL bat first, If he has a good score to defend then he can go for wickets but if the batsmen leave him with a small total to defend with, then he will be defensive too.

He should mesmorise Australian Batsmen with his Doosaras and take wickets for Sri Lanka to win. The chances of Sri Lanka winning the world cup will mainly depend upon Chaminda Vaaz and Muralitharan's bowling efforts.

murali might ball frm the 15th or 16th overs in the last powerplay....
clarke,ponting,hayden and gilchrist r excellent players of spin...
symonds and hussey r not good players of spin..
if aussies lose 2 wixkets by that time...itz gonna be pretty easy 4 murali

He has 2 bowl the doosras and off break by coming around and over the wicket and dismiss them with a slip catch ,stump bowled and LBW.

Recall what he did against India when Sehwag & partner took 11 runs off one over.He changed the line of attack and had the last laugh.He is a clever bowler who knows what to do and when.And Jayawardane is judiciously using all his bowlers especially Dilshan,Jayasurya..
