He dies in all the books. Nice urban legend though. :)
Theories have been posted that it was a setup. Dumbledore's familiar is a phoenix, a bird that rises from it's ashes....so Snape may have known this and though compelled to kill Dumbledore he would be sure he would rise from his ashes.
Maybe that's what they mean

I don't know if they are different editions of this book but the context should be the same... Yes it is true that Albus Dumbledore died in this book.
I think this book its very interesting and it has may surprises also..
