what does salty water do to the sea? Anyone know?

it creates thermohaline currents because of bouyancy

The sea has a certain density in various parts of the world.If the salt water that is added is lighter than the sea then it will obviousle dilute it . If it is denser than the sea it will concentrate it and if it is the same density it would do nothing.

certain creatures thrive on salty water such as phytoplankton, and certain tropicle fish. there are certain chemicals that are their source of life
