There is only 1 star in our solar system and that is sun as the name suggests "solar" system.

If you meant how many are there in universe, then here's the fact:
There are about 56,550,000 stars identified till date among which 20% have been given names while the rest are called by code languages. More stars will be idenified within more days because Hubble stated that universe is expanding & this may cause to the rise of new stars.

In our solar system, there is just a single star - our very own Sun.

If you take into account the entire Universe, then there are an estimated 10 to 300 billion stars in a galaxy. And there are about 100 to 125 billion galaxies. So one will have to say there are quite a LOT of stars in this Universe.

Our solar system is comprised of the Sun (named Sol) and the many planets, and other bodies of mass that orbit it continuously.

So there is only 1 star within our solar system.

(All other stars that can be seen by the naked eye or via telescopes and other instruments are defined as being "outside" our solar system.)

our solar system just consist of 8 planets containing asteroids and outer kuiper belt(containing large no. of small sized havenly material like asteroids)
clear a thing tht star is havenly body which shines itself by the explosions n burning of hot plasma inside it........so sun which we know in our solar symtem is actually a star (as it shines of itself)....it is called sun particularly b'coz it is present in our solar system and all planet circles around it including earth............so we can say just one star present in our solar system THE SUN
