calculate the mass of sodium acetate required to make 500 mL of 0.375 molar aq. soln. molar mass of sodium acetate is 82.0245 g/mol.

n = cV = m/M
so 0.375 (0.500) = m / 82.045
so m = 82.045 (0.1875) = 15.4 g.
