I just had a cervical biopsy 2 days ago with no gross or abnormal dischargo like my dr. said. but then today i went to the bathroom and their was this sack looking thing about the length of my pinky finger that i had to pull out. Their was coffee ground things inside it... is this the discharge from the biopsy two days ago, or did i flush my baby down the toilet? The doctor told me it was the biopsy but to make me feel better he is telling my to come in tommorrow and he'll check it out. There was no abnormal cramping or any blood at all.

Hi if you still have that sack, stick it in an old plastic or glass container & take it to the doctor.
Chances are its from your biopsy b/c miscarriages are painful.
Either way, i doubt that those are "coffee grounds"...

Don't get worked up about it yet. Most likely it was just the bandage material from the biopsy. If your Dr. isn't worried enough to send you to the hospital then it is unlikely that he thinks it may be a miscarriage. If you are too worried to wait you could always go to the hospital tonight, or at least give them a call to reassure yourself.
EDIT- the brownish color is usually from the astringant they use and the clotting of blood can produce the "coffee grounds"

I really don't know. I would think if you miscarried, you would have a LOT more coming out than what you had come out. With a true miscarriage, you're going to have a lot of bleeding w/clots (some large ones at times, too) and lots and lots of very painful cramping. If you had none of the above, I would just go ahead and try not to worry unless at your doctor's appt you are told there is something to worry about.

If you had, had a miscarriage.. There would have been a lot of blood.. And it would have been very painful.. But, it's good that you're still going to go to the doctor, just to make sure, because you don't want to be stressed out about it, it wouldn't be good on the baby..
