Australia shall prevail (be victorious or gain mastery) over Sri Lanka. Let me share the following thoughts here that I said in reply to another query:
Watch out each and every movement of the Australian team members tomorrow when they would play the Sri Lankans for the Cup and you are going to remember them for years to come. Probably these actions of their matches would be shown all over the Cricket Academy for future generations to emulate the skills.
Btw, being a man from this subcontinent I would be happy to see the Sri Lanka win the Cup. But if I have to consider overall performance of this ICC Cricket WC-2007 then the Cup is already in Australian's hand!

Australia had a plan to win the World Cup semifinal on Wednesday and executed that well. South Africa, rather than resisting, played right into its hands.The final will be a classic east-west encounter, the wristy and mercurial against the ruthless and immensely powerful. i would say Australia will prevail, but Sri Lanka has played beautifully throughout, and has the ammunition to cause the unimaginable upset. so it would very intresting match . but personally, regarding the both teams performance i would vote australia wins.

Australia has proved that they are a very good team,remember tho it is a final and that brings out the best in most teams,Sri Lanka should never be taken to lightly,but being an Aussie i have to back the Australians.

The Aussie cricketers are ruthless, arrogant and full of hype and obsessed with winning. Beneath their arrogance and big talk they are somewhat psyched by the Sri Lankans, who play fearless, entertaining and flamboyant cricket.

u cant say because the finals of 2007 might turn out to be like that of 1996 where srilanka thrashed australia but may be this time it will the other way round.

Ummm...are u kidding me? Do u not bear in ideas international Cup 2003 whilst Aus thrashed India and international Cup 1999 whilst they thrashed Pakistan? So that's basically SL who've controlled to win and that grew to become into in 1996...and for those asserting that the Aussie team will bear in ideas that and for this reason lose, with the exception of McGrath and Ponting, not one of the adult men have been area of that squad and for this reason heavily isn't stricken via that one bit! bypass AUSSIE bypass!!!
