In a serial - Lewis Wilson

Later it was Robert Lowery in 1949.

In a Movie - Jing Abalos (1943 - Batman fights Dracula - A foreign film.)

Then you got:
Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Christian Bale.

But the other two are the FIRSTS.

Serials are technically movies in a way, you needed to go to a theater to see them. Just was a different way of showing them back in those days.

The first Batman was from the days of serials.
Serials were short movies shown before a feature. They broke up a story into about 12 or 14 chapters that ended in cliffhangers to keep people coming back. They were the inspiration for the way George Lucas chose to tell the Star Wars stories.
The first Batman movie was from these days in the 40's.

Technically, it's Adam West. Lewis Wilson played Batman in 1943, but that was a serial (short) that showed in cinemas before the main attraction.

So the first movie (i.e. feature film) Batman was Adam West, who starred in Batman: The Movie in 1966, which was a spin-off from the TV show.

Arguably it was Lewis Wilson in the Batman serials in 1943. The first Batman in a full length movie was Adam West in "Batman: The Movie" in 1966.

I would say Adam West, the theatrical movie back in the 60s. I wouldn't count the Batman black and white serials since they were film serial "shorts" before actual movies.
