What I mean is, do they think of themselves as Christians, or do they only act as Christians as long as they're with me?

The reason why I ask this is because they lie to me about things like telepathy, while one of my relatives who's Christian and other Christians I meet don't.

Are they Christians, or are they something else?

I can't tell you what your parents think or what they do, but I can say this...

There's lots of Christians that want to pressure others into accepting things, the person isn't ready to accept. Everything comes with time. You're parents might consider themselves Christians, but they might or might not follow the teachings of Christianity. On the other hand of things, there's a lot's of Christians that do the right thing. They realize some things take time, but they don't need to pressure someone to make them see their point.

As for the telepathy part, telepathy would either be considered a form of witchcraft or some sort of spiritual message or connection depending on the situation this question is refering to.

Either way, the bible states witchcraft exsists. It's just not something we are meant to use. If it's more of a spiritual thing, it's also slighty described in the bible. It's just one of the many things faith can do.

I am Christian, but I've studied other religions. One of which being the Pagan religion. Which according to the bible I shouldn't do, but God knows where my heart is and who I'll follow over anyone else. I don't agree with everything in the bible, I do agree with God. Just because I don't understand how he handles things, doesn't mean he's wrong. I know he's right, and if he told me I don't need to understand I'd believe him. That message is also in the bible, but like I said. I follow God, not a book.

This got a little off track, but my point is... They might be Christians, but just like everyone else they can fall off track.

Also, the part about them lying to you... In their eyes they might really believe it doesn't exsist. So, as far as they're concerned they aren't lying. I believe it exsists in two forms as I mentioned above. Or, they could be lying to you because they think it's the best way to bring you closer to God. Although, in my book lying only pushes people away. Like I said, I don't know your parents and I can't pretend like I do. No one knows what they're thinking or doing aside from them and God.

Something I should add, just because someone's Christian doesn't make them perfect. We're human, we aren't meant to be perfect.

Most people in this country profess to be Christian but really are not. The word Christian means " Christ Like" They would have to be doing the will of Christ and acting in a way that Jesus did. So what was the will of Jesus?

He was doing the will of his father Jehovah God , that is spreading the good news of Gods Kindom threw out the earth as brought out in acts 20:20 and warning people that Gods Kindom or Government is about to take over all the Governments on the earth as brought out in Dan 2:44 and bring this earth back to the paradise it was originally intended for in the beginning Gen 1-4.

What do you mean they lied to you about telepathy? Did they say it existed, or didn't exist? (I might add, in case you didn't know, that it doesn't exist). Either way, what does any of this have to do with them being Christians or not? Because they lied? Christians are still humans. They are not perfect people. Because they do or do not believe in telepathy? That has nothing to do with Christianity. There is no way to really answer this question accurately. Honestly, your question doesn't make any sense.

Being Christian is a state of mind and belief.
You can believe in Christ and other things as well.
Many people do, they are not "Christians".

So, If you want to know, then you need to ask the source.
So Mom, Dad are you christians?
They will let you know quick.

If they lie to you, then I guess there is no point in asking them to try to find out the truth. I think you should leave it up to God to decide if they are Christian or not. The important thing for you is whether you are living in accordance with your own conscience or not. If your parents are liars and you don´t trust them, you can still wish them well, but you can also develop relationships with other people you can trust and limit your contact with your own parents. It is sad, but not all parents are perfect. Luckily, the world is full of people and you can create your own family or community by people you find through faith. Good luck!

do they go to a christian church? do they believe that jesus died to save us from our sins? do they try to live their lives in a way that would give glory to God? i'm not saying they succeed all the time. these are the things that make a person a Christian.

it could be that they are "Christian" in name only. people like that tend to be judgemental and harsh towards people who don't believe exactly like them. Sorry if this doesn't help because I don't know enough of your story.

I don't really understand your question, hun... but if you have questions about things, you should seek the information yourself and not rely on what other people tell you. I mean, you do have access to the entire internet. Start with a site like the Wikipedia and look up things you're curious about... the information may surprise you.
