I've been doing it for years and it's fine to do that. I do my bikini line as well as the whole pubic area, I don't like any hair. Men love it to bits. The advantages are great for sex it feels so much better, in my opinion anyway. The right way to do it is just use lots of soap and sqaut in the shower and shave from the bottom up, do it carefully and slowly untill you get used to it. good luck.

It is great to shave pubic hair. It is easier to keep the area dry after showering. The area does not sweat as much during sports activites. This keeps down odors and itching. It is also a good look, when you are used to it.
Before you shave, trim the pubic hair real short. It is best to use a barbers clipper for this.
1. Condition the area with a warm bath, session in the pool or in a steam room. At. least take a good hoto showe.
2. Shave where you can look in a mirror. Don't try to shave looking down.
3. use shaving cream or gel. don' t try use just soap.
4. use a sharp (new) razor.
The first time you shave you may not get everything. Wait a couple of days and do it again. After than shave every three or four days, at least.

Yes it is fine to shave but as one of the posters said when you do it shave going against the grain. Also be careful how much pressure you put on the razor when using it. This will help minimize the potential of cutting yourself. After you are done put a moisturizer on it such as baby oil because this can dry out the skin.
Other problems that shaving can cause are razor burns (which are red bumps) and ingrown hairs (which are like pimples).

Shave it against the way the hair grows. I think you're going to be better off having a wax as it lasts longer.
Like all shaving, its going to ITCH when it comes back in! The adv to keeping it is that it helps keep you free of yeast infections & other infections esp if you are female.
Try a product called "Neat", they have a sensitive skin bikini one--its about $12 Cdn so cheaper USA--and works within 5-10 minutes & although it stinks--it actually is nicer to work with during bathing suit season than your average waxing or shaving issues.

I would be careful shaving. It causing itching and its embarrassing having to scratch all the time. Waxing it is sooooo much better. Find a good waxer and get it waxed. It may hurt for a couple of seconds but the hair doesn't grow back for a couple of weeks where as shaving it goes back after two days

No sweety...You should avoid shaving the region...Reason...it will harden up your hairs which would hurt you later on...also it may lead to itching and further problems....I agree that men do like a clean area...but there are several other methods to do that...try hair removal creams...or waxing...

its miserable, it makes bumps that hurt and the hair has to be shaved daily just like your legs, its really better not to do it at all.

first of all pubic hair protects during sex. men supposedly like it bare. no men have complained about my trimming. if you are clean you shouldn't have to be bare.
