...one that was not yours, but whose parents just let it run around acting rude and belligerent, but you restrained yourself because it is taboo?

When that happens, I'm more tempted to slap the parents.

No because at the end of the day for the child to be running around unruly and misbehaving that is down to bad parenting not the child's fault they are not learning the child to behave in a decent manner,I have 2 girls 13 and 14 I treat them with respect and love and they give the same back. Proud to say they have honestly never fetched trouble to our home or been in bother at school :)

I make it a goal of mine to slap at least 7 kids a day , I live on a farm and the goats have these children that really ask for it .

Chit! Parents don't make their children behave any more. Now a days the children make their parents do what they want them to do! I miss the good ole days like when i was being raised when we got an old fashioned azz whoopin! Kids behaved better back then too!

No but I've wanted to slap the child's parents for not being decent parents and keeping their kids under control...

i restrained myself because it is illegal, i did however tell the mother she needed to bust the childs a.s.s for behaving the way she was ( 6/7 years old laying in the floor kicking and screaming because she couldn't get 2 , not 1, but 2 ice creams) she said she didn't believe in hitting her child and i told her that's why shes such a damn brat. it was my business mainly because they were blocking the register and no one else could be waited on for over 10 minutes.

no, but I have on certain occasions told the parents to control their kid. Or told the kid to go find their parent (like when i waitressed at a restaurant an was carrying several hot plates of hot food and the "cute" kids were running thru the restarant or crawling on the floor) not safe not cool, not funny or cute.

Slapping the parents is more of a temptation, because they should be controlling there child. And if they can't control there child they should leave it home with a sitter.

No, but I've commented loudly that "the beatings should now begin". It especially drives me crazy when parents bring their toddlers to crowded grocery stores and try to teach them how to walk. Get your darn kid the heck out of the way of my cart, or it WILL have a dent in it's forehead.
