How did you send the money? see if they can issue a stop pay? call the authorities and inquire who to report it to..you won't ever do that again. For anyone reading this...never send people that you meet on the internet money to come and visit either. Purchase the ticket yourself but do not send money no matter what. There are many fraudulent schemes/check kiting schemes/people that are thieves out there. Snopes.com lists a few but even Dr. Phil did a whole bunch of segments on it

its a scam, you need to take all the emails where u sent the money to your local law enforcement, its probably something out of Nigeria. and you will probably never see your money again. i guess I'm not understanding did u send the money? if not, don't just delete the message, we all get them.

It sounds like you have been scammed. I am not fluent on legal proceedings in the U.K. but, you should contact a fraud-type department in the local govt and an attorney.

Anytime you have to send money to collect your winnings, it is a SCAM.
I am so sorry this happened to you.
You could MAYBE report it & hire a computer tech to trace the ip address or get the police to trace the mailing address.

It's too late. You should have asked for ADVICE before you sent the money.
