I've been thinking about going to get a Bikini wax. I don't want a brazilian, just the sides so I can wear a bathing suit without the worry of having bumps or hair that I missed shaving exposed. I know it will hurt and that it can be expensive but I was wondering how long does the hair have to be before I can get it waxed and is it worth it? All answers will be appreciated. Thanks for the views and answers. Have a great day!!

This being said from a person who used to just shave or wax the sides, etc, etc......just shave or wax it all off. You will not regret it. I did it by accident (I goofed up my normal pattern and just said to hell with it) and have never gone back. I love it, my man loves it and everyone is happy!!

Definitely go for waxing. Its much better than having to shave every few days and I think overall, less irritating to your skin as you should only need to get waxed every four to six weeks depending on your hair growth. Make sure you don't make your appointment just before or just after your period and you can always take two painkillers half an hour before.

I agree with one of the other answers, go for the Brazillian, you won't regret it.

The hair doesn't have to be that long, just long enough for the wax to attach. Make sure your therapist uses hot wax not cold wax. Some therapists also use cotton strips to remove the wax which you want to avoid.

at least long enough to pull out. waxing is so the way to go but watch out for ingrown hairs and you might have irritation bumps after you first get waxed those will go away in a few hours. I actually get a brazilian and i think it's worth it everytime!!! my waxer told me that once you do this you'll never go back to any other way. and bikini waxes should be around $20 - 30 depending on where you go, go to a full service salon or a place that specializes in waxes. don't go to just any nail salon that offers it. get it done get it done right!

It has to be 1/8 to 1/4 of a inch long to be able to be waxed, the area waxed will stay hairfree much longer than with shaving!!!

A bikini wax can be quite painful. It would make more sense to buy a Seiko Cleancut Shaver and shave it yourself. The cheap model costs about as much money as one Brazilian wax, and you don't have to let a complete stranger see you while you are naked.

Yes about 1/8 just enough for the wax to adhere to it.
It will still grow but slower than when shaving...
