I have protruding eyes, because of reading too much and having to wear eye glasses since 8 years old. My parents are also near-sighted, so my near-sightedness might be genetic.

My question: What do I do to make my protruding eyes normal again? How can I apply makeup or mascara that wouldn't draw attention to the fact that my eyes are poofy?

Protruding eyes and "poofy eyes" are not exactly the same thing.

When I stay up too late, drink too much, smoke too much, live to excess, I have "poofy eyes"; but, I do not have "protruding eyes".

To alleviate my "poofy eyes", I wrap ice cubes in a towel and put them on my closed eyes for five or thirty minutes. To help the redness in my eyes, which seems to come with the "poofy eye" syndrome, I use eye drops advertised to combat "red eye". This process sometimes takes 30 minutes to make my poofy eyes and redness go away.

To my knowledge, there are no scientific studies that support that reading too much or having to wear eye glasses has anything to do with "protruding" or "poofy" eyes, nor does your near-sightedness have anything to do with your eyes protruding.

Your protruding eyes are normal for you, and unless you are willing to undergo surgery to correct them, you will just have to live with them. You can consult a makeup technician to address the issue of makeup; i.e., mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, etc. that might diminish your protruberance.

I agree with the person who suggested you see a doc. Protruding eyes are not poofy...they look protruding either because that's the way you are built, or because of other physical reasons that can include an overactive thyroid gland. Definitely see a health professional to find out if your eye concerns are due to a health issue, or if they are just your particular build. Health should be your number one concern. Once you have addressed this, if you still want to address your aesthetic concerns, I recommend checking out a good quality cosmetic counter...maybe at Nordstrom or an equally upscale department store. If you have Yelp (www.yelp.com) for your area, you can do a search to see who gives great cosmetic advice. This a website where real people review various places and services in their own honest words. When evaluating any review, I suggest you look at the number of reviewers as well. If only one or two people say they are great or suck, that really isn't much info. Use your judgement. Also, ask around to people (in this case, probably women) whose opinions you respect. Best wishes to you!

Do you recommend you're trojan horse-eyed? while you at the instant are not wearing make up, there is not a lot you're able to do. in case you have deep circles under your eyes, try getting greater sleep. in case you initiate employing make up, use a coverup that fits your skin tone under your eyes. Then use eyeliner to pronounce your eyes. Cucumber slices constantly help "poofy" eyes.

You do not get protuding eyes from reading and wearing glasses. Your eye socked could be too small for the size of your eyes or you could have some thyroid problems. Let your parents know that you are concerned and see a doctor for the reason they are 'poofy'.

You may opt to put on concealer or blend your eyeshadow upwards and to the side, making sure that your brow bones are still highlighted. You may also put eyeliner on the lower rims of your eye and extend the line up to the corner of your eye upwards.
