why do men. think if they work and the women work that the women should cook, clean and take care of the kids. I seen this happen alot and I'm amzed as in this day and age that women are still doing the laundry, ironing and etc. why ????? why dont women just stop it and make the men do it ?? and if the men cant do it correctly teahc them !!! im gay, but i still see many stright couple friends of mine liek this .....all over where i been from NYC to ITaly..... so please tell me why ??
p.s yet the women whom condem this and call it stupid still clean his clothign and cook his meals.... !!

ok i cannot belive that men are actualy thinking that this is a womens job. you guys are lazy bums and it is not there job. so what to whome ever said the men bring home the bacon SO DO THE WOMEN ! pure stupidty.

HA! I HAD a husband like that.... I divorced him for those reasons. I wasn't his mommy or his maid! I worked, did the cooking, cleaning, laundry and took complete care of our daughter by myself. Just to get him to put his glass BY the sink was TOO much of a chore for him.
He worked part-time but, his pay was commission so he made full-time wages and he would leave our daughter in daycare all day while he was home playing on the internet and I was working.

The answer is in the customs of society. What values we hold are the ones we express, and at least attempt to live by. If cleaning were left to some men, then she would have to live in a filthy house, or one poorly kept. So far as washing does, a lot of men are clueless as to what to do with a washing machine, much less how to use it properly. For my point of view, IF he really loves his wife, then he can help her with household chores. I am a guy, and I do quite well for myself. In my opinion, there is only one thing in life that can be truly considered "woman's work", and that is pregnancy. Everything else is domestic chores that both should share. She is his co-equal, and should be treated as such. Our society is where the fault is at by which you see problems, and ask your question.
