fresh water fish tank?

im thinking of doing a 10 gallon fish tank and i want guppys in there what are really pretty types of guppys?

There are a lot of pretty guppies, but the best won't be found in most pet stores - you'd have to get them from a breeder. This could be someone selling them online, or through a local aquarium society. Occasionally, you can find a privately owned pet store that buys from local breeders.

One place to see some of the colors and patterns that are available is online - try a site like aquabid (http://www.aquabid.com/ ) and look at their guppy page. You'll find guppies for sale from worldwide sources with photos and names of the type.

Some of my favorite patterns are cobras, half-blacks, and Moscows and I like the blue, purple, and white colors.

Goto your local pet store and see what they have. Since you are just setting up your tank i would not spend alot of money on guppies until your tank has cycled.
Once you get it going you need 2 females to 1 male. The males are the pertty ones. You can go online and find the fancy ones which are exspencive.

Depends on your taste. I saw some cobra guppies that were awesome. But there are blue-black ones too. Guppies come in so many different colors you'd have to look at them and decide what you want. Aquabid.com has a section for guppy auctions where you can get a look at some of the specilized breeding colors.

I love the Fancy Guppies because they come in such pretty colors and their tail fins are really pretty too. You never know what colors the babies will be.
