I hate to tell you this Andrew V, but this isn't 1995, or 2000, and it make shock you, but this is also not 2003.
Any team that can't sell out a playoff game needs to move, especially one in a huge market like New Jersey.

And Ottawa fans in this forum aren't reflecting negatively on their own fan base? Have you even bothered to peruse the contemptible submissions of your fellow Senators devotees, monkeymadness878 and sakicfan? I have never seen such a disgraceful collection of trash-talk in this or any forum. While Ottawa is a beautiful city (I've been there several times and love it) with typically polite, respectful and classy Canadian citizens, these little punks (I feel sure neither is past the age of puberty yet) are subhuman vermin of the lowest order and an absolute embarrassment to any self-respecting Ottawa Senators fan.
So, balderarrow, which are you? Are you one of them, and thus a despicable hypocrite, or are you here to prove yourself a Senators fan who demonstrates respect for other fans, making you worthy of respect? I'll be interested to see how you answer...

You gotta cut the Devils a little slack here. It's really not their fault that they don't have a huge fan base. Think about whom they are competing with:
1) TWO Ney York teams.
2) The Flyers
3) NJ Nets and the NY Knicks
4) Mets and Yankees
5) And of course, the Jets and Giants
So they have three other hockey teams that have their fans, and six teams from three other (more popular) sports.

Jersey has a fan base now?
Any team that can't sell out each an every game doesn't deserve a team.
Now if you excuse me, I have to go ready. I spent $700 on weekend tickets and have a 12 hour round trip drive to Vancouver. AND I am happy, because those few tickets that go up for sale always sell out in minutes.

I don't care how many cups they have won, if you can't fill the arena during a game for the Stanley Cup, than you shouldn't be a team, and I remember back in 2003 against Anaheim, games were not sold out. Heck last night, the arena was barren in places. And the three reasons why they won the cup, Danyeko, Stevens, Neidermeyer and Brodeur. Defense, trap and lets win with only one or two goals.

Fan base? What fan base? Not only can you still get tickets to tonights Devils/Senators game, there's still tickets for the Nets/Raptors NBA playoff games. It's a rare case where I am kinda pulling for the Sens (I'm a Leaf fan) but Devils fans don't deserve it.

Jersey is a great organization in a bad fan base that has always been known, the fans do not deserve what they have received the past decade.

Did you notice how much more exciting a game can be when the Devils are forced to drop that ridiculous trap and let their guys GO? Here's to NJ giving up the first 4 goals in every game they play.

No. To notice that would mean that I pay any mind to Devs fans...and I stopped doing that sometime in the late 80's. You're talking about the same ignorant people that serenaded me and my Pens jersey at Sid's NHL debut with endless chants of "Parise's better"...indeed.
If knowledge = power...Devs fans are the 90 pound weaklings of the league :)

I didnt know Jersey had fans, I thought it was just common riff-raff sleeping in the arena...
Well if they win the Stanley Cup I hope they enjoy that parade around the parking lot again...
