The Nokia 6233 supports the following file formats for music and images:

Music formats- AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3, MP4, M4A, Mobile XMF, AMR (NB-AMR), MIDI Tones (poly 64), True tones (WB-AMR)

Image formats: BMP, GIF87a, GIF89a, JPEG, PNG, SVG-T, WBMP

Video formats: 3GPP formats (H.263), MPEG-4

If you try to view or play files which are in some format other than the ones listed above, you will get the error "File format not supported" since the Nokia 6233 is compatible only with the above mentioned formats.

However, if you want to play music which is in some other format, search http://www.download.com/ for converters. Alternately, check out http://www.dotsis.com/ for players for other file formats

Your phone supports only certain audio and image file formats.
For example, it may support jpegs but no tifs or gifs.
Even with jpegs, most probably it restricts the image resolution . So, if you upload a format it does not support, then you will get an error message. Read the user manual to see what formats are supported.
