All the time. Only the threat of being beaten by mom got them to do things for me. We had no allowance.

when i was a kid yeah, found out my sister was smoking cigs and i threatened to tell my mom. she never gave me her allowance to keep my quiet. she just threatened to beat me up. i took the chance and told my mom anyway.
