The current 122 oversight investigations are producing appalling results to what the Bush Administration has been up too for the last 6 1/2 years. I wouldn't call that giving into the Bush Administration, indictments are imminent and currently being filed. Vermont has already filed impeachment papers on Richard Cheney, and other States are signing the papers. Staying strong doesn't have alot to do with it. They need 2/3 vote to override a presidential veto. Even they know they don't have that. It is grandstanding for politics and they are hoping they can drag it out long enough to affect the troops when money is no longer available since no bills have been passed. This is where the real poker comes in. If they wait too long and no money is available for our soldiers defense, they will lose support and possibly the presidency. Harry Reid speaks with forked tongue. Supports the troops but wants to hold back the money right now while everyone plays the politics game.

They will complain for a year while doing nothing, blame it on the president, and hope to get a dem in the White House. Then they will spend 4 years not making any actual progress but passing bills that mean nothing. At the end of the 4 years the dems will point out all the pointless bills they passed and say they are trying but the dems need another term in the White House. Then they will get brave and go about the business of destroying whats left of the country if the Islamic extremist haven't all ready done the job for them.

How long will the Democrats hold office before they pass ANY legislation?
What a worthless group of do-nothings. Wasting MONTHS on a bill they KNOW is going to be vetoed!
Get to work DOING something already!

well i highly doubt anyone will be giving in to anyone soon. both parties believe they are right, and as of right now Bushes popularity is at a all time low so it would not be prudent to endorse him.

They will give in. We're in Iraq at least until 2009 now.

How can they "stay" strong? They have always been weaklings in the first place.
