Only a screenplay. Written by David McKeena who also wrote the screenplays for 'Bully' and 'Blow'. :-)

You guys are really being shallow and racist. From what I've heard, this movie was about a white supremest, but it could very easily have been about a black supremest. Stop being boneheads and actually think before you type. :p And no, it is not based on a true story. ;)
