If you use a router for your internet then that acts as a firewall. If you are using Windows xp to see if you have a software firewall go to control panel>security center

Go through your programs they usually have firewall in their name.
If you have Windows XP SP2 or newer it comes with a firewall preinstalled.

You have a native firewall.
If you don't think a firewall that you possibly downloaded is showing up in your Add/Remove Programs list, then download BELARC and run it.
It'll tell you everything about your computer and every program you have on it.

you give strangers all your information and wait until they hack in and break your computer. by that time, you'll know that you don't have a firewall. and for that matter a bank account with money left in it
